MY SOFTWARE EVALUATIONS TO PROTECT YOUR PC

I have finally gotten around to updating my newsletter and I am excited to tell you about a new products and services I have found, tested and used. Let me just get this out before I begin, I am not being paid to write these reviews, however, I have an affiliate partnership with each company. To explain this better, if you click on the link from here, and purchase one of the "not free" version, I get a small commission. That is definitely not an incentive to write a review because to date I have received $0.00 from the links on my Website. I post this information to help those who are not sure downloads to trust and which ones not to trust.

The first product I would like to mention is my switch to SBC Yahoo!® DSL. I recently switched from Cox® High Speed Internet^SM to SBC Yahoo!® DSL. Everyone says DSL is slower than cable but I will argue that I haven't noticed a difference. Sometimes it can be a little slower but it is definitely worth the lower monthly payment---that is for sure! Not to mention, I get better customer service with SBC than I ever did with that other company! Let me tell you, if you start your own business, remember that customer loyalty should always count for something. If you don't give your repeat customers a break every now and then, they won't be repeat customers for long!

Moving on...the next product I would like to mention is Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition 1.06 which you can find at www.lavasoft.de. The "personal" version is FREE and can be downloaded from download.com by clicking here! The "professional" version offers more protection obviously and is worth the money. According to Lavasoft.com, Ad-Aware SE Professional Edition offers, "the highest level of protection from malicious software which includes browser hijackers, keyloggers, and tracking cookies."

Panda Software offers the "Cadillac" of anti-virus software with their Panda Titanium Antivirus 2005 with TruPrevent™ Technologies that is "capable of detecting and blocking unknown viruses...anti-spyware, anti-phishing and anti-dialer software along with firewall technology against hackers." This does everything that the other popular anti-virus software companies do but Panda Titanium does it BETTER!! Make no mistake, this will find 100 times more than the other popular anti-virus programs will and it is more bang for your buck. It's not any more expensive than the other programs but goes well beyond what you traditionally expect from anti-virus software. You won't be disappointed...I guarantee it!

This product is also FREE and Spybot - Search & Destroy offers the perfect compliment to other spyware products. After extensive testing of various spyware products, I have noticed that spyware products do not find the same problems. Having more than one makes your computer that much safer from harmful code. I don't believe in bogging down your computer with unnecessary programs but I believe that some are essential to keep your computer safe.

Now, I have saved the best for last...Registry Fix is a great way to clean up your computer. Many operating system problems and computer crashes are a result of corrupted registries. Registries are the "central nervous system" of your operating system. Removing programs doesn't "remove" all of the components that were installed when you added the program. It's like when you drop food on the floor, even though you sweep, crumbs still remain until you mop. Think of Registry Fix as the program that "mops" up messes in your computer. I know this may sound like all advertising fluff, but it's not. I sell myself to my customers based on honesty and going above and beyond the average "techie."
